Artist Statement

I have always loved the beauty of the world around me. In my landscapes I strive to capture the moments that nature captures me so that I can share them with my audience. In my figures I hope to capture the beauty of the human form and emotion that it evokes in me.

I have long admired the Impressionists and old masters such as Bouguereau and Carravagio and have been influenced heavily by them. I look to my contemporaries in traditional painting, mentors and peers for continued inspiration and direction.
